• Significant industry experience in drilling oil and gas (onshore) or completion of a lower-level qualification in a related field

• Strong language, literacy, and numeracy skills for interpreting complex technical information, preparing detailed reports, and communicating at a management level

• Access to a suitable workplace for practical components and assessments

• RIIOGD501F – Manage Rig Operations:
  Learn to manage rig operations, ensuring that all tasks are performed efficiently and safely. This unit covers the coordination of rig crews, management of equipment, and ensuring that operations align with safety and environmental standards.

• RIIOGD502E – Plan and Evaluate Rig Operations:
  Understand how to plan and evaluate rig operations, ensuring that project goals are met. Participants will learn to conduct operational assessments and optimise drilling plans based on performance data and project requirements.

• RIIOGD505E – Manage Drilling and Well Servicing Induction and Orientation:
  Develop the ability to manage the induction and orientation of drilling and well servicing personnel. This includes ensuring that all employees are familiar with safety protocols, company procedures, and operational guidelines.

• RIIRIS501E – Implement and Maintain Management Systems to Control Risk:
  Learn to implement and maintain risk management systems that ensure operational safety and compliance. This unit focuses on identifying, evaluating, and controlling risks in drilling and well servicing environments.

• RIISAM502E – Manage General Drilling Equipment Maintenance:

• BSBWHS521 – Ensure a Safe Workplace for a Work Area:
  Learn how to implement and maintain workplace health and safety measures for a specific work area. This unit covers safety audits, hazard identification, and compliance with WHS regulations.

• RIIENV501E – Implement and Maintain Environmental Management Plans:
  Develop the skills to implement and maintain environmental management systems in drilling operations. This unit focuses on compliance with environmental regulations and minimising the environmental impact of drilling activities.

• RIIOGD504E – Manage Drilling Operations:
  Learn how to manage overall drilling operations, including resource allocation, scheduling, and monitoring performance to ensure successful project outcomes.

• RIIOGD506D – Manage Rig Move and Camp Move:
  Gain the expertise to manage the logistics and coordination involved in moving rigs and camps between operational sites, ensuring minimal disruption and operational efficiency.

• RIIOGD508D – Manage Well Completion and Abandonment:
  Understand the processes involved in managing the completion and abandonment of wells, ensuring that these phases are handled in compliance with safety and environmental standards.
